A bit about my passions: I started travel writing after a two year solo journey around the world. And yes, I found romance on the road. We were married and have two daughters. That hasn't stopped me from traveling. Last year I kayaked in Antarctica, rappelled off a skyscraper in San Francisco, rode camels at a camel rodeo in the Outback of Australia, cruised the Rhine River, danced in Paris and Porto. I've traveled to over 100 countries and seven continents. I realize that life is short so I'm cramming in as much as possible. My career path: After the two year trip around the world I began travel writing. Today I have 12 books, the last 3 with National Geographic. I was super lucky to be a guest on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” NPR, National Geographic Radio and CNN Travel.
