San Francisco Awarded Michelin Stars for Cocktails and Small Plates‏‏

A few of the best starred restaurants that also have greats cocktail are Cyrus (2 star) , Ame (1 star) and Aziza (new 1 star and local favorite). Small plate restaurants are Zuzu, SPQR and Barlata. 

Michelin is pleased to announce today the results of the San Francisco Bay Area & Wine Country Restaurants Guide 2010. Below please find the full press release.

 Among the Michelin stars awarded this year:

  • The French Laundry remains the sole Michelin three-star selection
  • Seven restaurants receive one star for the first time, including local favorite Aziza, Commis, La Toque, Luce, Sante, Terra and Ubuntu

 And what’s new to the Guide:

  • 18 selections to the “Bib Gourmand” Inspectors’ Favorites for Good Value category
  • 2 symbols designating those restaurants with a notable cocktail program or sake list, and an entirely new category designating those restaurants that serve Small Plates, reflecting increasing popularity and quality of this cuisine style
  • As a result of popular feedback, East Bay coverage has expanded to include Walnut Creek , Emeryville and Lafayette
